Procedure Guidelines

How to create procedures using different products, correct incision guides, and following standard guidelines.

Access the Procedures Dashboard

  • From the sidebar, go to DME, then Procedures.

  • You'll see the overview of Procedures. The name, description, ICD Code, type, and practice.

  • You can use the search bar to find a procedure.

  • You can also filter by Procedure Type and Practice

Edit a Procedure

  • To edit a procedure, just find and select the procedure you wish to edit from the list.

  • Open the Procedure. You'll see 3 tabs in the Procedure. Profile, Providers, and Audit Logs

  • To edit, just apply the changes directly to the form and submit by clicking the Update Procedure button at the end of the form.

  • In the Profile, you'll see the procedure details.

    • Practice

    • Procedure Name

    • Description

    • Procedure Type (Surgery/Wound or CPAP)

    • Wound Details

  • In Wound Details, you can add a Wound by clicking the Add Wound button. The Wound form will be shown. Fill out the form.

    • ICD Code

    • Side of the wound (Left, Right, Unspecified, or Both)

    • Drainage (Min-Moderate, Moderate, Moderate-Heavy)

    • Location of the wound (e.g. Forearm, hip, knee)

    • Length (in cm)

    • Width (in cm)

    • Depth (in cm)

  • You can add multiple wound details by clicking the + sign.

Wound Products

  • You can also add wound products in the wound details by clicking on the Add Wound Products button.

Note: Must have a Primary, and Secondary Dressing. State the Day Supply and Units for the products too.

  • You can add multiple products, duplicate a product, or delete it. Click on Update Wound button to save the changes.

  • In selecting Wound Products, Primary and Secondary Dressing are required.

    • Product type (Primary Dressing, Secondary Dressing, Ancillary)

    • Product (Dressing, Size, Code)

      • For Primary Dressing, it's Collagen dressing in different Sizes

      • For Secondary Dressing, it should always be bigger than the primary dressing size. It varies in sizes and types such as Border Sterile Dressing, Composite Island, Conforming Stretch Gauze Bandage, Sterile Surgical Gauze Sponge, Vitale Post Op.

      • For Ancillary, these are the additional products to be added if needed. It's Saline 10 ml Solution, and Waterproof Tape.

Actions

  • At the bottom of the Procedure Profile, you'll see the actions section where you can copy the procedure to a new one, delete the procedure, or update the procedure (save changes).

Providers

  • In this tab, you can add a provider by selecting from the dropdown and clicking on the Add Provider button.

How to Add a Procedure

  • To add a procedure, go to the Procedures Dashboard, and go to the Add Procedure Form.

  • Complete the form and submit.

    • Select the practice (use the dropdown selection)

    • Enter the Procedure Name

    • Add Procedure Description

    • Select the Procedure Type (Surgery/Wound, or CPAP)

    • Wound Details
