Wound Assessments

This explains how to Create, Edit, and Find Wound Assessments

Accessing Wound Assessments

In Appointments:

  • Go to the DME tab, and open the Appointments page.

  • Open the appointment you need to update.

  • In the details page, on the Appointment Documents section, you'll see buttons for creating Wound Assessment.

  • Click on it to open the Surgery Documentation form. The form has 3 sections.

    • Wound Assessments

    • Comorbidities Assessment

    • Additional Notes

  • Complete the form and use the Save Documentation button to submit.

In Orders:

  • Go to DME tab, open Orders Page.

  • Find and open the order.

  • Once you selected an order you wish to process, open it and it will take you to the order overview.

  • The order overview shows the following pages:

    • Details

    • Shipment

    • Documentation

    • Medical Billing

    • Audit Logs

    • View

  • From the order's overview, go to the Documentation tab. This will take you to the Documentation dashboard.

  • In the Documentation Dashboard, you'll see the list of documentation for the order.

  • From the list, click on the Create Wound Assessments button to open the Surgery Documentation form.

  • Complete the form and use the Save Documentation button to submit.

Completing the Surgery Documentation Form

  • In this form, you'll see 3 sections to fill. Please see the following:

Wound Assessments

  • Drainage Amount - Select the drainage amount from Light, Light-Moderate, and Moderate

  • Incision Size Assessment

Bulk Editing Mode

For Bulk Editing Mode, we do one form and apply it to multiple wounds. Each wound is recorded separately even when you use bulk edit. It only makes it easier if you’re creating or editing multiple wound assessments with the same details.

  1. Switch to Bulk Edit mode. Fill out the form (Input Drainage Amount, Incision Size Assessment)

  2. Select the Wounds you with to apply your form details to

  3. Save the changes by clicking on the Apply to [count] wounds.

  4. Review the Individual Wound Details to make sure it’s correct.

Individual Editing Mode

For Individual Editing Mode, you can create or edit the form separately. This applies if the wound assessments has different details.

  1. Switch to Individual Editing Mode

  2. Fill out the form separately (follow the standard process)
