Objective

To help staff efficiently access and update patient information, ensuring accuracy across profiles, insurance, appointments, and orders.

Patient Profile

  • From the Patients page, select the desired patient.

  • The Patient Profile section displays general information such as demographics, contact details, and medical history.

  • Edits can be made as needed, but always click Update to save changes.

Insurance

  • Scroll down to the Insurance section at the bottom of the patient’s profile.

  • Use the Add Insurance button to enter Primary, Secondary, or Tertiary insurance.

  • After completing the form, click Verify Insurance to run eligibility.

  • Verification details will show the insurance status, benefits, and coverage.

  • Always press Update to save changes.

Appointments

  • Navigate to the Appointments tab within the patient’s dashboard.

  • Here you can:

    • View scheduled appointments with providers.

    • Add or update appointments as needed.

    • Cancel or delete appointments (requires team leader approval).

  • After updates, refresh the page to ensure changes reflect correctly.

Orders

  • Go to the Orders tab to view or manage patient-related medical or supply orders.

  • Review order details such as product type, date, and order status.

  • Always ensure orders are placed with accurate patient details and correct home health information to prevent claim bundling.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Always start at the Patient Profile before moving to other tabs to confirm you’re working on the correct patient.

  • When making multiple edits (insurance, profile, orders), save frequently by clicking Update.

  • Use the search and filters within Appointments and Orders to quickly find relevant entries.

  • Run insurance verification as soon as insurance is added to avoid processing delays later.

Important Notes

  • Failing to click Update after changes will result in lost data.

  • Appointment cancellations or deletions may require approval depending on your role.

  • Orders tied to incorrect home health information can lead to bundled claims, causing billing issues.

  • Insurance verification results depend on payer systems and may take time to return complete details.
