CREATING ORDERS WORKFLOW
NOTE – We cannot ship any products unless there is at least one day between the surgery and when the patient will be receiving PT/HHS or SNC/SNF post operation.
If not, you will have the products bundled with the HHS or SNC/SNF and you will not be paid.
Click “View” on Date of Service
Select the patient you would like to create the order on by clicking the three dots to the right of the patient.
Make sure to verify the patient has received the surgery.
If the surgery was cancelled, you may “change status” to “CANCELLED”. Do NOT “Delete Appointment”.
If the surgery in fact took place you may “create order”.
Always click the first three boxes. If the patient has informed you of a different address you may uncheck the first box and update the shipping address.
Confirm that the Patient will not be receiving any Inpatient care, if they are receiving Inpatient care, enter the patient’s discharge date by clicking the box and setting the date.
The products will be shipped on the discharge date if so, if not they are shipped the day after the surgery.
Confirm that the patient will not be receiving any Home Health Services (HHS) or skilled nursing care (SNC/SNF) after the surgery. If they are receiving HHS or SNC/SNF enter the Start Date.

Confirm the procedure and ICD-10 is correct. If there is an error please let MedflowIO know.

Statuses
Denied-Insurance denied the codes and the patient will not receive product.
Cancelled-Patient surgery has been cancelled but not yet rescheduled.
Verified-Insurance has approved the codes and the patient’s insurance meets the group’s protocols.
Needs Review-MedflowIO is in the process of verifying insurance information.
Verify Address-Patient needs a physical address on file, demographic was sent with a PO Box.
Pending Auth-An insurance authorization is required, MedflowIO has submitted the auth and awaiting denial/approval.
